Confession as an activation is confessing the truth over yourself so the Holy Spirit can build you up. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth and bears witness to the truth. As we confess the truth over ourselves the spirit bears witness to who we are and upbuilds us in our inner man.

To do this activation:

Lead the students in reading a confession in unison.
Pay attention to what is happening in the spirit. Point out how you feel.
Have some of the other students share what they are experiencing.

I usually suggest to students that from time to time they make a practice of this. You don’t have to use a pre-written confession; at times I’ll practice just confessing the Scriptures I know about who I am as they come to mind. It can be a powerful spiritual discipline.
