One of the ways that we can learn to perceive the Holy Spirit working on people is to learn to recognize the physical signs that occur when the Holy Spirit manifests on people. Physical signs don’t always accompany the Holy Spirit’s working, but they often do. When God begins to move in our being often all of us is affected, including the our body!

Common physical manifestations of the Holy Spirit include:

In this clinic you’ll simply model observing the physical responses to the Holy Spirit moving on people.

Have a number of students up come in front of the group (I recommend 5-8 is probably good).
Ask the students to get ready to receive from God and invite the Holy Spirit to come.
Move around student to student as you feel the Lord leading and point out the various physical manifestations you observe and bless what God is doing.
Point out what you see that many people are doing and point out unique manifestations as well.

As you get better at observing the Holy Spirit’s moving on people, you’ll be able to begin to discern what the Spirit is doing as he moves on them. I’ve learned to recognize what the peace, empowering, fire, and other ministries of God look like on someone. This is very helpful because it allows us to quite literally, “Do what we see the Father doing.”
